Born in Naples in 1934, Antonio Gravina studied at his birth city's Art
Institute. Since he started painting at the young age of 15, Gravina has
continually demonstrated his personal best through the settings and
chromatic range within his work. His paintings are reminiscent of 18th
century artists, and include seascapes, parks, and bistro scenes. Noted
dichotomous subjects include quiet bays bathed in sunlight, stormy seas,
sunny cottage scenes set in the country, and colorfully bustling city
scenes. Exhibited in national and international shows, Gravina's work has
garnered acclaim from art critics, connoisseurs, and admirers.
